Nashville Girls Trip: Unique Activities Beyond Broadway

Here’s what to do in Nashville on a Girls trip – rather than party on Broadway since you’re going to do that anyway!

In celebration of my sister’s 21st birthday we gathered 4 of our friends to join us on a long weekend girls trip to Nashville! Nashville is currently the go to place for a bachelorette and we kept seeing so many videos of all the fun girly things there so we decided it would be just as fun to go for a birthday weekend! Here’s all the fun things we did that I would HIGHLY recommend, and even a few things we didn’t have time for! I also included the cost of everything, and how to get a discount if possible!

White Limozeen

This is an absolute MUST for a girls weekend. It’s is probably the most girly and pink place in the whole city! It also gets booked up in advance so make sure to plan ahead! They open bookings 14 days in advance, so plan on booking as soon as they open up the date you want to go! The look, the vibes, the photo opps, the FOOD, were all AMAZING! The Graduate is also a really nice hotel for a girls weekend but was outside of our budget so we just checked out the fun lobby there on our way up to the restaurant! Next time in Nashville I will definitely be back here! I’m still dreaming about how amazing their quiche was!

Price: Varies, we spent about $40-$50 a person.

Suzy Wong Drag Brunch

We had the BEST time at Suzy Wong’s Drag Brunch. We all dressed up really fun, had delicious food, bought two pitchers of mimosas, and of course had a blast watching the INCREDIBLE performers. Seriously the best drag show I’ve seen! Not too many photos but I have some super fun videos!

Cost: 31.99 includes appetizers, entree, coffee or juice and of course the show!

Discount: Download the app – BACH  for a 10% off discount!

Suz Wong also offers a party bus with drag performers if that’s more your thing!

Belmont Mansion

This is a lesser known activity that we really enjoyed! Belmont Mansion is a beautiful historic mansion that we took a tour of then explored after on our own. It was really nice to have a peaceful quiet activity to mix things up, and it provided a really pretty background for some photos!

Cost: $18 you can just buy tickets when you arrive there

Discounts: They offer discounts for seniors, veterans, college students, and kids

12 South Neighborhood

This is the go to area for a girly shopping day and must if you’re looking for what to do in Nashville on a girls trip! There’s tons of stores, adorable unique finds, pop up shops, plenty of photo ops, and the best cafes in town. Stoney Clover Ln is a really good starting point, it’s pricey but cute to check out, then you can head on to the rest of the street from there. We ended our adventure at “Wanna Spool Cereal Bar” an amazing ice cream shop that specalizes in blending cereal in their icecream. I was so excited for this and it lived up to the hype!  It has a bunch of cute photo ops like a huge spoon outside, a swing inside, a whole colorful outdoor seating, and I’m not kidding you, the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I had to buy a t shirt after going there!

Cost: Free to wander the area

Icecream at Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar starts at $5.50

Upstage Party Bus

There’s tons of party buses in Nashville to choose from, I did my research and decided on Upstage Party Bus and it was perfect! I love that it was an open air bus so we got beautiful views of the city while we drove around and had fun interactions with people on the street. It was also the best value, the price was cheaper than other buses and they gave you the option of buying a pack of drinks & shots in advance for a cheaper price which I thought was really cool! They didn’t over fill the bus and we all had plenty of room to dance and were able to request songs too.

Cost: $56 after taxes per person

Discount:  Keep an eye on their Facebook page for occasional promotions and contact them directly if there’s any trouble with the coupons. I had to book 6 spots separately in order to get a $10 off coupon applied, yes it was extra work but so worth it for a discount. So we paid $46 per person.

Make sure you book a party bus in advance if you want that experience, there’s lots of buses on Broadway advertising themselves as party buses for cheap that you can hop right on,  but they don’t have the proper permits and are constantly being shut down by police. So make sure to use a reputable company!

Sip & See: Music City’s Best Mural Tour on Wheels

Even if you do a party bus I’d highly recommend doing this mural tour bus! It’s a much smaller bus, that fits probably 12 people and is a really fun daytime activity. It brings you to all the best spots in town to view murals and get some fun photos. The driver was super nice and funny and we had a great time! Orange juice is provided then you bring the champagne to make a mimosa. Make sure to pop inside “Winky Lux” next to one of the murals they’ll bring you to. It’s a really cute makeup store with a really cool installation perfect for photos!

Cost: $49 a person

Discount: This was my second booking through the app Batch so I got 15% off, so we paid $41 each instead.

Tennessee Legend Distillery

This was an optional stop on the mural tour but some groups skip it or do other things instead. If you skip it on the tour make sure to go back! We got to learn all about  their spirits, shines, whiskeys, and cream liqueurs. We got to choose 4 drinks each to sample, and bought some to take home too. There was also a super cute vintage candy store right next to it “Bang Bang Candy” that we had fun checking out too!

Cost: Free and free samples!!!

Centennial Park

Visiting this park was the perfect way to relax in between all of our fun activities! The park was beautiful and had lots of paths to wander down, and space for us to spread our our blanket for a picnic. We especially had fun watching the ducks and seeing how close they would get to us (answer, some will eat right out of your hand).

Cost: FREE

The Pantheon

The Pantheon is also a super interesting museum right in the middle of the park, it is the world’s only exact size replica of the original parthenon in Athens. It’s highlight is a 42-foot tall statue of Athena, the tallest indoor artistic work of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.

Cost: $10

Discount: They have discounts for seniors, veterans, children, nurses, and college students.

Hampton Social

If you look up recommendations on places to eat in Nashville you will see this place over and over again! It is huge, 3 stories! I’d still recommend making a reservation in advance just to be safe, but we ended up asking if we could come in an hour earlier than our reservation and it wasn’t a problem at all so you’re probably good to just walk in. We were on the second floor and there were really pretty views on the city and the food tasted super fresh. It’s only a couple minutes walking from Broadway so it’s the perfect place to start off your night. Also you HAVE to get the truffle fries!

We didn’t do any of these next activities, but here’s more ideas on what to do on a girls trip to Nashville!

Gaylord Opryland Resort

If you’re already researched what to do in Nashville you’ve probably come across the Gaylord Opryland already. This is  a MASSIVE, upscale hotel and entertainment complex located near the Grand Ole Opry. It’s known for its stunning indoor gardens, restaurants, shopping, a boat ride through it – all still inside it’s huge building! It’s definitely worth a stop to check it out!

Water Activities

There’s tons of different activities and boats you can take to explore the Cumberland River or Percy Priest Lake. There’s small tour boats, huge showboats, kayaks, and of course lots of party boats to spend a fun day on the lake.
